BODEGAS CONATVS — Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tours, Lajares

Bodegas Conatvs is located in Lajares, in the north of Fuerteventura, and holds the distinction of being the island’s first winery, founded in 2015, and the first in Fuerteventura to be registered under the Canary Islands Denomination of Origin. The name Conatvs comes from Latin and means “effort” — a fitting tribute to the challenge of growing vines in the island’s semi-desert, volcanic terrain.

The winery is built around the recovery of Fuerteventura’s ancestral vineyards and native grape varieties, producing limited-edition wines that reflect the character of the volcanic landscape they come from. Its range includes Conatvs red, the Airam dry white, a Pink rosé, the single-varietal Baboso Negro and the sweet Magec, several of which have earned recognition at competitions such as the Concurso Oficial de Vinos Agrocanarias and the Concurso Mundial de Bruselas.

Visitors can explore the vineyard and modern winery through six different wine-tourism experiences, typically including a guided tour of about an hour through the volcanic setting, paired with a tasting of local wines alongside cheese, olives and other regional products.
