Corralejo has a lively shopping scene that goes well beyond the typical tourist souvenir shops. And since the Canary Islands are exempt from VAT, visitors can enjoy notably lower prices on perfumes, cosmetics and clothing — well worth taking advantage of.
Most shops are concentrated along the main avenue, where you’ll find clothing, footwear, perfumeries and surf fashion brands including Hurley, Quiksilver, Billabong, Desigual, Stradivarius, Bershka, Tommy Hilfiger and Benetton, among others.
El Campanario Shopping Centre
A charming shopping centre designed to resemble a traditional Canarian village, with cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. Home to a wide variety of shops, bars, ice cream parlours and restaurants. Regular free concerts and events are held throughout the year, and a popular Sunday morning market features local Canarian products. There is also a HiperDino supermarket open every day and free underground parking.
Las Palmeras Shopping Centre
Located in the heart of Corralejo on Avenida de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Las Palmeras brings together well-known international brands alongside bars and restaurants. It also has a Spar supermarket and free underground parking.

Aloe Vera
Fuerteventura’s most iconic purchase. The island is home to extensive aloe vera plantations, and local companies produce a wide range of products — gels, creams, shampoos, soaps and lip balms — using this remarkable plant known for its hydrating, soothing and healing properties.
You’ll find sales points throughout the island, particularly near the Corralejo dunes, on the road to La Oliva and Betancuria, and on the route to Morro Jable. Artisan markets also stock limited and organic editions.
Buying tips: Look for products labelled 99% aloe vera and avoid green-coloured gels — the highest quality gels are made from the inner leaf gelatin, which is naturally transparent. A 200 ml bottle typically costs between €15 and €18. Airport prices are considerably higher, so buy during your stay. Online purchases are also available, but prices increase due to shipping costs and mainland VAT.
Majorero Cheese
A must-try for food lovers, Majorero cheese is a traditional artisan cheese made from the milk of Fuerteventura’s native goat — the symbol of the island. Its milk is known for being dense, aromatic and rich, giving the cheese its distinctive character. The best places to buy it are the village of Tindaya in the north and La Pared in the south, though you’ll find it on offer across the whole island.
Fuerteventura is one of Europe’s premier destinations for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing — host to world-class competitions and home to a thriving surf culture. It’s no surprise that Corralejo is packed with shops offering clothing and equipment from leading brands such as O’Neill, Billabong, Quiksilver, Rip Curl, Element, Roxy, Reef, Volcom and Hurley, among others.
Look out also for No Work Team, a homegrown brand founded by two Italian surfers who gave it all up to follow their passion. Their shop on the Corralejo seafront has grown to have a presence at the airports of Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

Gusty — Lajares Located in the small village of Lajares, between Corralejo and El Cotillo, Gusty began as a surf sail and kite repair workshop.
